The second summer of Brubeck Jazz Summit was again a success! Held on July 9-15, 2023, 32 exceptional jazz students from the US and Europe, along with an all-star faculty roster gathered in Lake Tahoe for a week full of jazz masterclasses, workshops, jam sessions, and concerts.

Brubeck Jazz Summit’s new Artistic Directors, Roxy Coss, saxophone and Lucas Pino, saxophone, led an all-star faculty that included Michael Rodriguez, trumpet, Rachel Eckroth, piano & vocals, Gerald Cannon, bass, and Bryan Carter, drums & vocals. Chris and Dan Brubeck joined as guest artists for workshops and concerts during the week.

We’re so proud of all these young musicians who brought their talents to Lake Tahoe for this special week!

Thank you to our amazing faculty and staff, and especially to Brubeck Living Legacy‘s partner, Classical Tahoe, for hosting the Summit and bringing the Brubeck family’s jazz vision to Lake Tahoe to promote awareness, interest and the understanding of jazz and its role in American and international culture. We look forward to next year!
